Good Points

Had an Akito Desert waterproof jacket with matching pants and have ridden in all weathers with them and stayed perfectly dry... apart from my hands...... which I'll get to. Nice venting, warm, plenty of storage pockets.


Bad Points

Ok why my hands I hear you ask? Well, there seems to be a bit of a design flaw with the jacket in that water can bleed in through the airvent zips even when they are closed, that same water then runs down along the waterproof inner lining and exits at the cuffs, which are nicely tucked inside your gloves. Not a pleasant feeling. The only other thing is that the pockets are not 100% waterproof and should you keep documents in them then they will get damp and or soaked.


General Comments

All in all I've been very happy with the performance of the Akito Desert set. One thing that I did wonder from time to time was whether the Knox armour would hold up well in a spill, I found out the hard way today that it does (thanks to some diesel and a quick bounce down the road) as does the 600d outershell and seams of the Akito set, not a mark on me and the clothing faired quite well too. Infact I'm that happy with how well they have kept me dry and protected me when the worst happened that I've just ordered the exact replacements.
Akito Desert (jacket and pants) get the thumbs up from me!
