Good Points

easy to use. The auto thread makes it easy to change cottons quickly. Is quiet. Comes with a number of accessories allowing you to do different stitches, button holes etc. The hand book explains how to do the different stitches and what setting and foot you need to use, When sewing the cloth just glads through. Over locks. You can choose to us a foot pedal or switch on the machine to sew.


Bad Points

DVD can't see the point of sending a DVD showing other sewing machines when you have just bought a new machine. Would be better giving it to people looking to buy a new machine. A DVD on how to use the machine you have just bought would be more useful.


General Comments

The Brother Innov-is 8080 is easy to use, my 13 year daughter came home from school and starting sewing on the machine. I had my last machine for year and hardly used it, it was easier to sew my trousers by hand then set it up and the tension was never right. On the brother 8080 the tension is set I have not had to touch it , the auto thread makes it easy to change cottons quickly. the machine is quiet. comes with a number of accessories allowing you to do different stitches, the machine as a number of areas were threads can be cut so you are not looking for your sissors all the time, and not only does the brother 8080 do button holes it sew the botton on to. The hand book explains how to do the different stitches and what setting and foot you need to use, I had never done a blind hem before getting this machine. I keep looking for things that need sewing. The machine nearly sews on it own, unlike my old machine were you had to guide the material to keep it straight. Having limited space I find using the switch to start sewing easier then the foot pedal no wires in the way.
