Quantum Of Solace Review

I feel obligated to bring a positive look to this film seeing as most of the reviews are decidedly negative so here's my take on what I consider a pretty decent movie.
"Quantum of Solace" is a great action film. Daniel Craig is a great action star. The problem for this movie it would seem is the fact that this is not your dad's James Bond. There is no ubervillian that uses cartoonish methods for world domination which Bond thwarts using the gadgets created by Q. This Bond faces a consortium of villians with a more practical plan for forcing the world to acquiesce to their demands and he uses his wit, training, explosives and guns to accomplish the task of stopping them. Picking up shortly after "Casino Royale" ended Bond is in his Aston Martin being pursued by men in fast cars with guns that never seem to run out of ammunition. Ultimately Bond is on a quest to exact his revenge for the death of his one true love that takes him from Haiti to Austria to Italy and eventually to Bolivia, following the path of a 'green' company's top executive who preaches conservation and the preservation of our planet, but hides a more sinister endeavor with the afore mentioned consortium, Quantum. Hopefully we'll further explore this group in upcoming Bond films because the leaders of this group are still out there. If you like action films you'll like this one. If like Bond and can let go of the past you'll like this one. As a new Bond era dawns we all need to let it develop and see where it leads but in the mean time I give this one an 8/10.
