fridge stopped working properly just after guarantee up

General Comments

When my Hotpoint FF187E broke, they offered to mend it for £90 with only a 3 month guarantee or £110 for 10 month guarantee. It's a heap of junk. Hotpoint customer services were useless.

Campaign needed to get legislation passed to make companies manufacture goods which are long lasting and ecologically sound. Companies need to be forced to take back malfunctioning machines at their own expense. Surely all white goods should be expected to last a minimum of 10 years.

I asked for the postal address of the CEO to send a letter, but no details given after three requests.

Indesit is also same company as Hotpoint. I could never recommend buying anything Hotpoint.
