Good Points

The Russell-Hobbs machine is simple to use and easy to clean and copes well with "supermarket mixes" as well as cookery book recipes for different types of bread.


Bad Points

Wear of the kneading arm on the spindle is a problem....you get a kind of clunking noise and the mixing isn't as efficient. We have already replaced the kneading arm/ baking tin bits (at an exorbitant £30) but just now it appears this second set is wearing out. So be warned this machine is best for occasional use rather than the everyday work load we subject it to


General Comments

This Breadman Ultimate from Russell Hobbs makes wonderful bread, cakes and even pizza dough. We have used it several times a week over the last couple of years in preference to buying supermarket bread. It is true that the bread doesn't last as long as shop-bought, but on the other hand it tastes much better and you can always opt to make small loaves if you prefer. The only real issue is the failure of the mechanical bits to stand up to long-term sustained use
