Some well known products.
Fast delivery.
Bad Points
Expensive calls (0870 numbers) for everything (use www.saynoyo0870.com to find 02 numbers and ask for Customer Services).
Calling Customer Services results in making several menu choices, extending the duration of a premium rate call!
Offshored call centres with poor lines.
A lot of product is unique to channel
Delivery costs and ordering phone call add at least £9.50 to product cost. Cannot order more than one of an item without making multiple phone calls. No p&p discount on multiple items ordered at the same time to the same address.
General Comments
I have had a 3 products from these people. The first, a 'Memory Foam' matress topper needed to be aired for over two weeks to get rid of the chemical smell. The second, two 'Memory Foam' pillows, both had minor faults but I kept them. The third, and ultra-sonic bark stopper, was faulty and returned. I e-mailed through thier website beforehand, and was sent a returns no. (This seems to be an automatic thing when asking about returns, because i sent a second query and got another returns no. Either that or they don't understand English)! As it was a faulty product, I am entitled to a full refund, including refund both delivery and return costs under the terms of The Distance Selling Regulations. I only received a refund for the price of the product. When I called to query, I was told they did not refund delivery costs because I had not called them in advance (on a premium rate number?). I explained I had e-mailed and been given a returns no. After exercising some assertion, the operator agreed to process a request for refund of my other costs (although not the cost of phone calls)! He went to confirm my phone number for a call back (why?), and repeatedly read out the number of SIC head office, even though I explained that was not my number. Eventually, confirmed my home number, and I gave my mobile as it will be more convenient for them to call me on it. (Experience shows if they do not get you by phone they ask you to call them - on a premium rate phone number)!
To sum up, unless I really want an item, and cannot source it anywhere else, I will not buy from them again. My advice, if you have to return something, make sure you understand the Distance Selling Regulations regarding the difference between a return and a cancellation.
