Very well constructed and the ultimate in reliability! My son and I have put at least 1000 rounds through it without a burp. It's compact size and light weight make it the "go to" carbine when we want to hike the high country. My handloads work well in this firearm. Bushmaster techs are most helpful and ready to answer any question you may have.
Bad Points
The trigger pull gets some getting used too. It's heavier than it should be.
General Comments
I shot the original M16 in Vietnam and must say the Bushmaster is the one I wish I would have had for that conflict. I have also shot the Colt AR-15 as a state police "designated shooter"for 22 years and still prefer the Bushmaster products.

Customized Bushmaster XM-15
Speaking of accuracy, the Bushmaster XM-15 is as accurate as Jeff has come to expect from Bushmaster rifles. 5/8" groups at 100 yards were the norm with Jeff's favorite varmint loads.
