Good Points

Good learner/Commuter bike. Reliable. Economical to run.

Bad Points

Far away break levers. Not very pretty. Low top speed.

General Comments

I have been using one of these bikes to pass my motorcycle test, and have found them to be easy to control, highly reliable, and nippy at low speeds. The milometer shows over 300K miles (it's a rental bike) and yet it has started every time.
I am quite small (5 foot 8) and found that after a days riding the arm position did become a bit uncomfortable. This may be to do with me having small hands, and the SR having levers very far away from the handlebars. But never the less this is something to take into account if you have small hands.
Top speed is about 60-65mph and that's with a light rider like me (8 stone) on it. I would not recommend taking this on any motorways or fast dual carriageways. Once the bike hits 50mph in 5th gear it takes a fair while with the throttle fully open to creep up to 60mph. In towns and slow country roads though, this bike will hold its own and can pull away from junctions/ traffic lights etc. quite quickly. Acceleration to 45mph is fast enough for day to day use. (no good on a race track though).
All in all this makes a nice short distance (under 40 miles) commuter and fantastic learner bike but if you are small or need to use motorways I would go for a larger engined and faster bike (with easier to reach levers).
