Stunning locations.

No beautiful women. Shaky action scenes. Lack of Aston Martin. No gadgets, no Bond cliches. Lack of charm and sexiness.

This 007 flick is certainly not what you might expect as a true Bond fan. Daniel Craig is great as a new 'rugged 'Bond but he doesn't let anyone know he is Bond, James Bond. The start of the film looks very promising with a great car chase where is Aston gets a hammering, but true A.M. car fans will be very disappointed that this is the only occasion he will drive his trademark transport. Believe it or not, but he finds himself driving a Ford Focus hire car and (of all cars) a Range Rover! Yuck. The action scenes are very shaky and close-up as if you're really 'in it ', but this makes it very difficult to visualise the overall stunts and action, so typical of a good Bond film. As for children; for my 11 year old son this was his first experience of a 12A film and he enjoyed it. There are no really gruesome bits apart from the final fight scenes with Bond and the villain. This was his first Bond film and I'm sure it won't be as memorable as my 1st Bond; Live and Let Die. In fact, this is as memorable as singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985. Have a go and see what's it all about, but don't expect a classic.
