Good Points

Road holding (initially ),rim protection


Bad Points

Unbearable road noise.


General Comments

Had four 225 45 17's fitted to my golf gt, these were made in Germany and were good tyres. Have just replaced with falken 452s after 6000 miles due to unbearable road noise. Initially I suspected the wheel bearings but garage checked these and confirmed ok - they advised to check tyres.20 % of inside was worn in a very strange way. 1 - 2" would be worn away with no tread showing, the next 1 - 2" would be ok and so on around entire inside of tyre. Contacted Goodyear but they blamed tracking, driving style, etc. Would not buy these again.
