Good Points

Beautiful depiction of a love story.

Bad Points

Making love to a ghost :( the author seems to have no problem with romantisising infidelity and borderline promiscuity. To be realistic, the lines between the good guys and the bad guys should rightfully be more blurred.

General Comments

The heroine cheated on her husbands whenever she saw fit and never seemed to struggle internally with her infidelity much. It seems to me some the depth of her character could have come out when she found her last husband with another woman. As long as the book was, a few pages here and there throughout detailing a broader understand of life through experience would have fleshed her out. I wonder if it was intentional to depict people back then as doing whatever they wanted with each other and to each other behind closed doors.
