Where do I start? I subscribed to Setanta sports paying an initial subscription of £9.99.. after a month they increased it to £12.99 without informing me.
When I wanted to cancel they first offered me another deal, which i did not take up. They then asked me to call later "As our cancellation department is currently closed". I called later and they transferred me to another person, which i am assuming is someone at the same call center rather than another department. This person just gave me an address to send the cancellation letter to!! So basically just a delaying tactic.
Anyways i sent the letter after checking the terms and conditions that they had initially sent me, which stated that i had to give them 1 months notice for cancellation. After they had withdrawn the money by DD for the extra month i cancelled the DD. They promptly called me and said that i need to give them 2 months notice!! had an argument with the customer services person and said that i would not pay then anything extra.. She threatened me, telling me that she would transfer my case to a third party.. i said i will still not pay because i had followed their conditions.. anyways i got a few calls after that, which i couldnt take since i was not at home..
This prompted me to send them a letter along with a photocopy of THEIR terms and conditions, clearly stating that i need to give them only one months notice. i guess the matter is closed, since i havent heard from them yet.. Dont subscribe, if u do then make sure u keep the terms and conditions safe!!

I've just subscribed to Virgin Media and Setanta comes free with Virgin's XL package so I shouldn't have to deal with Setanta personally but reading some of these reviews made me so angry! Well done for fighting the battle and not letting them beat you!
