Good Points

Great Machine but you'll need to uninstall Norton and Acer Empowering software to get the full benefit of this machine, clear display, great colour scheme. If you install an extra 1gb ram (about £15) this machine really flies and vista rates it 3.2
The celeron processor is 64bit compatable a pity because it is supplied with a 32bit operating system.

Bad Points

Needs more memory as standard, too much software pre installed that is not needed and not really any use.
Acer needs to make use of the 64bit processor by installing the correct operating system.

General Comments

A great machine that would be one of the top laptops if only Acer woke up and realised that Vista needs at least 2gb of ram to perfom well and that their empowering software is just bloatware and not needed also why do all PC makers install Norton, it will kill a good machine by cutting at least 40% of it performance.
Overall I would by it again and am pleased with it full perfomance and reliability.
Linux operating software is not really compatable at present unless you are using a wired network or wired adsl connection, the wireless network adaptor has not yet intergrated in the linux kernel.
If you are looking a solid reliable cheap laptop this is the one.
