Dont know never used them!


Bad Points

I switched to RAC and they are much better! At least you know were you stand. They don't cover your car or your motorcycle they cover you!


General Comments

I purchased my Green Flag breakdown cover over the phone. I explained that I cover over 30,000 miles a year. So the rep sorted out the policy that best suited my needs. When I did breakdown (about 8 months into my cover!). I was about 15 miles away from home when I called them. The operator told me that I was only covered within a 10 mile radius of my home. As I had no cash on me, the Driver would have to make a diversion to a nearest cashpoint! To make a withdrawal they were going to charge me £10 per mile over the 10 mile radius that was also going to include the diversion! I had to get a family member to help me in the end! As a result I joined RAC.

    I find this review strange, to say the least! What sort of cover is it - that covers you for 10 miles only? what fee was being charged for this? For the sake of clarity perhaps this reviewer would elaborate on their experience.

    It was the basic cover that was given and cost around £40. This is what I was told over the phone so I told them were to stick it!

    This is incorrect, the basic rescue service includes 1hours roadside assistants and then a recovery service limited to 10miles which is usually enough to get you to a garage within the local area - seems to me that the rep didnt sell you a policy that meets your needs and you didnt read your documents!
