Good Points

Acuvue Advance lenses were very comfortable to wear when I first wore them over 5 years ago.


Bad Points

It would now appear that perhaps the material has changed as they are no longer as easy to insert or remove.


General Comments

I have worn contact lenses for over 37 years and when I first made the change from hard gas permeable lenses to soft lenses 5 years ago, my optician recommended Acuvue Advance. I have not experienced any problems until this year.
This year I have noticed that the recently purchased batch behaved differently than the previous lenses. The lenses seemed to fold more easily and I sometimes had difficulty in removing them. During recent months I have suffered from very bloodshot eyes after wearing the lenses regularly and found that they were not always comfortable after insertion, a feeling of grit on the lenses.
