Good Points

Customer service is almost available within 2-3 minutes for me.


General Comments

1) They don ' t seem able to keep a track of my confirmation numbers.
2) They have the lousiest website (icicibank.ca)
3) They say you can transfer money to another ICICI bank customer freely and on-line. I could not..
4) They seem to know little about their own ICICI Canada bank's (locations).
5) My account opening process took me almost a month and a half. I opened the account by filling out a form and sending a $100 cheque to a local PO box of theirs (delivery time 1 day). It took them 8 days (business days) to confirm receipt.
6) Then, the money wouldn't deposit.. (the $100 cheque) for another week or more. Finally, it does after I call them through the process. If I didn't call, I think I'd be still waiting.
7) Welcome package comes a month later. ATM card comes a month.5 later!
8) Money transfer to India is the only reason why I have a chequing account with them. They don't have an online currency exchange converter either, so you're in the dark when you send money not knowing how much India will rcv.
9) Money transfer took about 5-7 business days.
10) Customer service itself is disappointing. Everything seems so scripted. I might as well have paid $15 to Western Union and sent money which gets there in literally minutes with no shitty customer service rather than wait for months and calling client care each time is annoying.
If it was online, and very online.
Their other banking solutions leave a LOT to be desired as well, so you might as well go for another bank for your regular banking needs.
