General Comments

Having been my first car I've actually owned (all others were either my friends, family or rented) the ford focus 1.8 Zetec was my first car I've owned. Having read the reviews about it, the sight of it and what others say about Fords generally I wanted the Ford Focus to be my first car. I had an impression that they were fast (which is what first attracted me to it) easy to handle, easy to get repaired and reasonably priced I had to have a focus. I wasn ' t disappointed. The car in my view looks fab. It does handle well and a good on will cost you £3500 up. I would say though that the fuel consumption was pretty high compared to others on the road. I tend to drive mine quite fast which is probably more to the point of why it drinks petrol. The Focus Zetec 1.8 is a fast car if you can drive it properly. Not that it is difficult to drive. Get this thing on the motorway and you will be surprised what it can do for the price you paid. The Ford Focus Zetec 1.8 will have top rev range of 7200rpm so just imagine what it can do. The manual says it will do 128mph as a top speed (it also does 0-60 in around 8.9 seconds apparently though my best was 9.5secs), but I don't recommend that as this is illegal pretty much everywhere. The other thing that attracted me to it was the tuning potential.
Once you've got one, taken for a test drive you realise what everyone has been saying about them. The interior is so well laid out, not too much fancy electrical stuff to get in the way but still has heated front and rear windscreens, air con electric windows etc...
All in all a very good car buy one!
