Enjoyed holiday start to finish

The moaners, typical brits abroad, entertainment is still aimed at older adults.


General Comments

We went as a family of 4, at sea never saw the kids, cabins ok considering the only time you will be in them is to sleep. The food range from very good to excellent, as well as the paying restaurants with a good choice of foods. Staff were helpful and pleasant, don't forget most will be doing 16+ hours a day to help you (directed at ignorant passengers). My only complaint (niggle) is looking around most parents were in their 30/40s, yet most of the entertainment seemed to be (as it is on most cruises) aimed at the old brigade, apart from 2 bands which I enjoyed. Now something aimed at the moaners. The Ventura is a new idea, she is designed as a family ship that means, believe it or not KIDS of various ages! She is modern, if you don't like modern, cruise on another ship. As for the handling, we came back in a force 9/10 head on, she handled well considering she is 19 decks high!!.To the smokers who could not smoke on the prom deck (it was closed due to storm) there was 80+ mph winds running down length of ship. You cannot smoke inside because it comes under uk laws, I smoke as well and have cruised with different company.
All in all, my family enjoyed their holiday, we will be going on her again.
