When we got to the heart of one complaint, and it was absolutely obvious that the issue was their fault, we got a bunch of flowers.
General Comments
I was very pleased with Woolwich before Barclays Bank took over, and by and large, the transition was pretty seamless. We have had great difficulty in setting up direct debits. We keep getting them returned by the bank, even though we definitely have sufficient fund to pay. The reason they are giving is that they have no DD mandate from the requesting organisation, however try telling companies like Capital One that.
