really nice for about 4 months


Bad Points

sooo expensive for such an inferior product, felt like having to jump through hoops to replace a defective product covered under warranty


General Comments

My husband and I REALLY splurged on a mattress in 2006. We spent over $4K (and that was with 40% off) at Macy's on a S&F Brandenburg (top of the line) mattress. We chose to do so because my husband travels 14 days out of the month and we wanted his home time to be spent in comfort after staying in hotel beds so much. This mattress was heaven for about 4 months until the "craters" began. The mattress looks like a wave now with two valleys and a peak in the center! As so many previous reviews have stated - yes we turned the mattress and followed all of the suggested care for this "no flip" matress. Well - we can no longer take waking up with aches and pains - that is IF we can get a decent nights' sleep at all!! So - my warranty struggle has begun!! I am waiting patiently for a "measuring kit" from Macy's. I will keep you updated on how hard of a struggle this becomes. I wish I had not waited as long as I have to begin this arduous process. I agree that perhaps there was a lapse in product quality control for a period of time as I have another S&F mattress that is excellent and has remained so for approximately 7 yrs in my guest bedroom. Perhaps a previous commentor was correct in suggesting a Class Action suit? Good Luck to all of you who are trying to remedy your situations and here is wishing you a good nights' sleep sometime in the near future!
