I just swapped to gosim from SIM4Travel. The SIM4Travel service was OK but they just dropped on a load of extra charges so I used up the credit and changed to gosim. I got a promo code which got me 10% off because I wanted to swap over.
I want to tell anyone thinking of getting an international sim card to look a bit further than just the call rates. I guess that once you have used one you get to know more about it but many travel sim card providers add in a load of hidden costs. With gosim there don't seem to be any. Even calls to mobiles are at the same rate as to a normal number and you don't loose your call credit if you don't use the card for a while.
SIM4Travel made the following charges to me:
'Network Service Fee - on each and every day that the SIM4Travel service is used for inbound or outbound calls and outbound SMS, the customer will be charged a daily fee of £0.39.
'Credit Holding Fee - if the SIM4Travel account has been inactive for 90 days or more, a Credit Holding Fee will be activated and the user will be charged an initial fee, and then a further Credit Holding Fee will be made for every subsequent 30 days that the account remains inactive.
With my new gosim card there is no network service fee or daily charge and no credit holding fee. Well recommend this Wireless Solution GoSIM.com
