Good Points
This unique wine is made using similar processes to that of traditional port producing methods, with the fermentation process interrupted through the addition of fermented pomegranate juice, resulting in a wine with a high alcohol and sugar content. It is then and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels in Rimon Winery's special aging sun room.
General Comments
Dark purple and maroon in colour, this wine has a nose of stone fruits and sweet spices. A full bodied port, it is sweet on the pallet, but not overwhelming, with a smooth mouth feel with a delicate warm finish. It pairs well with cheese appetizers, fruit and chocolate desserts, and blue cheese.
