Efficient when we booked (and paid up front).
Bad Points
Bus didn't arrive anywhere near the arranged time for collection and so I feel the service wasn't delivered but they kept all of the money paid.
General Comments
We booked a traditional red london bus for our wedding to pick up our guests from the church in the city of London and take them to the reception. Having booked the bus for 1530, by 1555 our guests were freezing being October, and the photos had been done on time. We had no choice but to put our guests into taxis or make them walk to the venue.
The Bus Club left a message on the groom's mobile at 1555 to say that the likely arrival time would be 1615. Of course my husband wasn't carrying his mobile AS HE WAS GETTING MARRIED??!! The best man did not receive a call on the number we had given The Bus Club to contact us on the day if they needed to.
Of course we understand that traffic is bad and mistakes happen. What I don't understand however is how any business can fail to offer any compensation in this situation. The Bus Club have apparently kept all of the £420 we paid up front even though the service they provided was unsatisfactory to me. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as in my experience I found them completely unreliable when it came to sorting out my problem.

Was just wondering... i've just booked my 21st birthday with the Bus Club, to go to London. I'm concerned as they havent sent me a letter of confirmation for the deposit... then two days later after paying it, they emailed me loads of things I have to send to them... like my credit card details? Bit dodgy I thought, hence why ive just looked up to see if anyone else has had any problems with them.
In your experience what would you recommend to me?

on 5th Mar 2009I disagree with this review because i booked for my 23rd bday in Birmingham and everything like receipts and paperwork arrived 1-2days after. The bus was ready and waiting outside 15 mins before it should do and the staff were great. It was my best birthday ever!

I couldn't believe you had a similar wedding experience to mine - yes I also wish I had found this review website earlier but you know what it's like 'getting married' not having time to research everything!
Again to anyone reading these comments about The Bus Club in Carshalton - please beware if you book their bus for a wedding, get everything back in writing from them.
