Failed to deliver and very poor customer service


General Comments

The bed I ordered from Beds Direct was meant to arrive within three days, but a delivery day was set 14 days after the order. I took a day off work and at 5.30pm got a phone call saying that they could not deliver. The bed arrived at 8.30am the next morning, but the delivery men refused to take it to the room of my choice, as stated on the website. So I complained to the delivery guys that I had wasted a day waiting for them and was not getting the service I paid for. They seemed indifferent. Customer services were poor, refused to compensate or refund the bed.

If you want a bed delivered on time, then pay a few pounds extra for a decent service. I won't bother with this lot again.

    Update: Beds Direct said that the delivery was nothing to do with them and absolved themselves of responsibility. So I phoned the delivery company, who apologised, sent someone to carry the various parts of the bed upstairs and said that they would discipline the drivers. But the question is: Why should I have to deal with the delivery company? Why did Beds Direct do nothing?
