General Comments

Have today agreed to purchase 2 double glazed windows of Weather Seal at a price of £3,000. This includes removal of 2 box sash windows which are many many years old and full installation of PVC windows.

So far pretty happy. The salesman was nice but clearly reading off what had to be said in order to tick off his checklist. Have to say though, I left a request for call back at about 3pm, called back at about 3.05pm - arranged meeting for 8pm same day, salesman showed up on the dot - meeting took 1.5 hours in total from start to sale. Quote was initially £4,500 - whittled it down to £3,000 - did NOT take the finance option - recommend everyone to always pay by cash for anything you can, it (the finance deal) may sound great but it'll work out cheaper in the long run to just pay lump sum up front.

I obtained quotes from around 10-15 other companies from Anglian and Crystal to local sole traders and the WeatherSeal price sat somewhere in the middle... didn't fancy sole traders as wanted a stronger guarantee.

Will write further review once the installation is complete - but felt compelled to review the sales experience after seeing so many bad ones as mine was fairly positive as far as salesman visits go.

I totally disagree with recommendation for the cash payment option! Pay by credit card so you are covered. Paying for full up front too with any service seems dangerous to me too. What happened to the deposit beforehand and the rest upon succesful completion?
