I have been looking for eBay alternatives for the last few months and tried 3: onlineauctions, ebid and ioffer. Of the 3 I like ioffer the best. The interface fits nicely with the way I think. Mr. Grabber is a snap to transfer existing listings and ratings--it's nice to carry your rating with you especially if good. I greatly appreciate being able to add all the pix I want. Customer service has been responsive to my questions. Best of all, I had 4 sales the last week and I can see my traffic in the inventory list, and I find my listings when I search on line.
Bad Points
The negotiation process can get a bit bogged down with back and forth dialogue. I am not a fulltime e-retailer and must balance real work with online sales. I've already had my first non-paying buyer and it appears that you must wait quite some time to initiate an action. Base final value fee is relatively high for very low value items when looked as a percentage of cost. Mr. Grabber someimes doesn't grab everything he should.
General Comments
I like the clean feel of the ioffer site and it's easy to list or import listings from other sites. As an alternative to an eBay store its super. It's a great place to list items that did not sell on the first list / relist at eBay. Fee structure requires no upfront costs, and lots of features (eg good photos) are without additional cost. Revisions to listings are easy. The highlighted exposure when seller is online is a nice feature. The store is nice and your profile gives an option to show yourself through word or photos. Connections to Google give added listing exposure. I'd give it a thumbs up.
