Good Points

We stayed in the City inn express in Mare street in Hackney on the 6th October 2008 and the only good thing about it was the location.


Bad Points

This was definitely the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty and smelly. The headboard on the bed was absolutely filthy and the bathroom was so bad I could not bring myself to have a shower in it.
We requested a smoking room and were not informed that their were no smoking rooms at all in the hotel. The dining room was not great and the breakfast was terrible.


General Comments

This was definitely my very worst hotel stay. We had booked for two nights but checked out after the first. Due to our flight times we did not get to the hotel until very late otherwise I would not have spent even one night in it. The staff were very surly and not in any way helpful. There were no pillow cases on the bed and the bed clothes were disgusting.
