Good Points

Looked good and neat and worked well day one to day 365.

Bad Points

After a year or so, up comes the word 'HOLD' and all they can tell me is clear the disc and see if that works. What kind of a skilled/experienced technician tells you that? .

General Comments

I've been dying to see all those progs recorded over the months, but - hey-ho. Now have a Panasonic and a Samsung but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Getting a whole year out of it ain't bad -when they work they're great!

When mine started repeatedly freezing after 8 months I disconnected it and got an FVRT150. When the FVRT150 went bonkers after 3 months I re-connected the FVRT100 and for 3 weeks now it's worked flawlessly! I've since had the FVRT150 replaced but after 2 weeks the sound has goofed. A high hassle-factor by anyone's standards.

Your hold problem is often put down to a weak or failing PSU but even if you rectified this, something else would probably go; if there was an easy fix we'd all have it already.
