General Comments
My wife has driven one of these with an Automatic gearbox for the past 2 years. In total it has been back to the dealerships 8 times for the engine management light. It stutters, and stalls... It's infuriating. It just came back from it's eighth visit to the garage last week and already the lamp has come back on again, and it has started stalling again. I know this isn't necessarily Ford's problem - more so that their dealer network is totally crap. This in itself is enough to ensure I don't buy another Ford - no matter how nice!

Whats the best used 7 seater? Not people carrier! in The AnswerBank:
I know all the bad press about 4x4s etc, but I hate people carriers. What decent 7 seater can you recommend, must be reliable and not too expensive on servicing.

I agree with this review because...I have bought a 3 year old car - same model - last June. It is now only 4 years old this March. I learnt today that it needs a new automatic gearbox - over £4000. I am in a state of shock. I should have bought a different car, new somewhere else. Has anyone else had this problem? Replacing the whole gearbox at a parts cost of £3650 is appalling.
