The thermos idea is great - not only does it stay hot for ages, but when it is heating, it is only heating the water and not the whole kitchen, so should be quicker and more efficient
Bad Points
Poor lid design, difficult to use
water level indicator does not work effectively
tends to boil for quite a long time before switching itself off
General Comments
I think the Russell Hobbs Energy Saving Thermal Kettle is a great concept badly executed. I still have mine, and use it, and try to champion the idea with my friends but really Russell Hobbs should sort this out.
