Good Points
Many of the reasons for weight gain over many years are not resolved by going on another diet. The counselling and recognition of your relationship with food and how to develop strategies are the true value of Lighter Life.
Bad Points
I really have nothing bad to say. I believe my health and my family are worth the effort of abstenance, food that I don't love eating and cost. What value do you put on your health and life?
General Comments
I have struggled with being overweight and obese since teenage years and yo-yo dieted all my adult life. At 61, determined to be fit to do the Inca Trail to raise money for Breast Cancer Research as several friends had died, I knew that the weight had to go and then I needed to get fit. I have done both. I am currently in the management phase of the programme, have dramatically reduced my weight, BMI and body fat. From a size 24, I am now in a size 10-12 weigh 10 stone 3 pounds and go to the gym each day to get myself trim as having lost weight, especially at my age I do need toning up! LL provides the best support I have ever had to help me through and past difficult times with food and now I enjoy the taste of healthy fresh food. Group counselling sessions have been absolutely vital to enable me to understand why I overate and how to stop myself doing it again. Go for it!

Hi, I was pleased to read your review as I am 59. However my doctor has refused to supervise me whilst on the diet. I had only been on it for 2 weeks and it was withdrawn from the market. I wasn't very pleased as it worked for me and I was quite happy on it. My weight as now gone back up and I am desperate to find something to help me. I really do not understand why the doctor will not support me. If things weren't working out I would just stop the diet. I know someone who is on the Lighterlife diet and has lost 1stone 7lbs in 4 weeks.! I do not know what to do now! I have a BMI of 32!
