Good Points
Easy installation, uses very little resources, reliable and coexists with Adaware 2008 and Windows Defender.
Bad Points
Free version does not appear to scan email in Outlook or Outlook Express, scans cannot be "tweaked", no "rootkit" scan
General Comments
Over the years, I've used several antivirus programs starting with McAfee in the early years, followed by Norton, then Bitdefender. I liked Bitdefender V10, but recent updates have resulted in some issues on my computer so I was searching for a new program to try. I tried Avira and I'm EXTREMELY pleased. Setup was easy, and the program is very easy to use and most importantly, doesn't use a great deal of system resources. In other words, it doesn't slow the computer down, and for me and other's who don't have the money to purchase a new "cutting edge" computer, that is a major advantage.
Great product!
