Good Points

Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this as a venue.


Bad Points

A minor point really but the change over of guests in the lodges could be smoother.


General Comments

I married at Orchardleigh on 20th October. My new husband and I had such a fantastic day I felt I needed to write this before flying off on our honeymoon. Everything about the day was perfect, Orchardleigh staff made sure the day lived up to all my dreams. Nothing was too much trouble for the coordinator or any of the staff. The day was seamless yet the staff were never intrusive. Guests have said how helpful everyone was and how well run everything appeared. The house and grounds are stunning, like us our guests fell in love with the place immediately. The venue has the formality that gives it the wow factor yet manages to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can really feel at home. The log fires and candles were lit from me arriving at 9am until the last person went to bed. It gave a really nice feel and many commented on how in a hotel you wouldn't have such lovely touches. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Dinner, buffet and breakfast were all commented on by guests. There was never a rushed feeling even in the morning when those that were partying until the early hours were struggling to get out of bed. Even though the party was over the next morning the atmosphere was still great and i put this down to the venue. We were not chased out and were made to feel at home by sitting by the big burning fires drinking tea and chatting about the day before. Everything was truly magical, a day we will never forget. Thank you Orchardleigh.
