I received a phone call from double take studios for a Professional Makeover & Photo Shoot, after my sister had put my name down as a recommendation. It sounded great on the phone and I decided to book as it was only a £1 booking fee. The next day I went to book the time off work, but I could get the time off and the weeks after that time I was going on holiday so there was no way I could make the appointment. I called the booking/cancellation line so many times, it must have been about 20 times throughtout the day and each time I just got the answerphone. I left several messages and I also emailed them a few times to confirm I wanted to cancel. At this time I did read the small print in the email confirmation of the booking I had received and it stated that i had to cancel within 7 days in order to avoid a £100 cancellation and/ or no show fee. Obviously i was quite worried then so I decided to call the sales team and then I also tried ringing the studio where I was booked to visit directly. Eventually I managed to speak to someone in the cancellation dept as I refused to get off the phone until they confirmed the booking was cancelled and I would be charged no further monies. I did eventually get this and my booking fee of £1 was returned to me. I found it extremely difficult for me to cancel. From my sister's experience I also noticed that the photos they take of you cost hundreds to take home so there wasn't a lot of point me going anyway!
