Bad Points

I returned several items weeks ago, back to both Newport News and Spiegel (the parent company now) and I have yet to receive a refund for any of them! It states on their website that returns are processed within 2 weeks but when I called both customer service numbers, I was told by each rep that returns take 4-6 weeks for processing!


General Comments

I had been buying from both Newport News and Spiegel for years and usually had positive experiences with both merchandise and clothing. But now, I feel very few items seem to be of really great quality, fabric and fit. In my opinion it's pretty hit or miss now, and I've also experienced pictured items not looking anything like what is pictured in the catalogues (colors especially).

I think the Newport News and Spiegel websites are clunky also - even if you log into your account, you must have your customer number to see your Order Status or History (how people know their number and they don't include your customer number in your order confirmation email either)! Both sites are also slow to update order info. I'm pretty much done with them and will not order again!
