Good Points
Price, Slimline and the fact that it has two phono sockets on front with volume controls.
Bad Points
First one I got would not play MP3 discs properly!
Second one remote control would not work! Third one O.K. However on-screen MP3 graphics very poor compared to other models. (Not much detail for audio tracks selected). Region 2 only.
General Comments
The Dansai 852 is a nice silver colour with two phono sockets with volume controls on the front. At the back is an opto-coupler together with usual scart, phono and S-VHS sockets. Do not turn these receivers on to the side with a disc inside you will loose it and have to go inside after it!

The player isnt only region 2. Or, it is from the beginning if your buying it in europe, but it's real easy to hack. =)
