General Comments

It used to be good when the gym fee is usage based - going to the gym regularly, i.e. on average twice a week would mean paying the "regular user" gym membership fee - in my case it was 15 pounds a month. This was a really good incentive to make sure I do go to the gym regularly. Now they have changed the gym fee to be based on your vitality status, although I'm on Gold status I will have to pay 29 pounds a month! This is an increase of 93.3%! 93.3%! This is clearly unacceptable and by changing the gym pricing structure just like that they are simply not treating customer fairly. I need to improve to Platinum in order to reduce the gym membership fee to 15 pounds, but that's not going to be achieved for quite some time even if I carry with my regular gym visits. I have been writing to their customer service but they do not see a 93.3% increase is unfair. Their representative kept telling me that there are other ways to earn vitality points, like buying sports equipment from eBay, or buying fruits from Sainsbury. I do not have a Sainsbury near where I live, and I do not see why is a piece of fruit / veg from Sainsbury any better than that from another supermarket. Why should I buy exercise equipment from eBay when I already go to the gym regularly? This is just simply ridiculous! Why should my gym membership be based on a flawed vitality programme?
