Easy to switch from monthly to pay as you go


Bad Points

Worst mobile customer service I've ever experienced. I've paid them 30 quid and have been able to send one text. Have demanded my money back and for a PAC code to be issued, but as of yet still received neither.


General Comments

I've been a Orange pay monthly customer for nine years. I switched to pay as you go and topped up 30 pounds the phone, but a day later my handset stopped receiving calls. I later found out Orange had barred my phone without telling me. I was unable to call customer services from my handset or use the online service. I submitted a web request but heard nothing for over 36 hours. I eventually got through to customer support on a friend's phone and was told then since I registered a "new card" for my top up I would need to send them bank statements before they could unbar the phone. This is the same card I've used with Orange for nine years. Their call center is dreadful with calls being dropped or forwarded to numbers which don't answer, nobody knows anything and it when I finally got through to someone who actually knew something they couldn't do anything but would try and get someone to call me back (presumably on my non-functioning in-credit mobile). Don't use Orange - they are completely hopeless.
