Good Points

Stylish unit looks good, inside and out. I have had this fridge for 5 years and it hasn't broken down or required any service call-out.


Bad Points

The manual has only four words to say about defrosting: "The fridge defrosts automatically". After three years of use (at the safety-recommended temperature of 5 degrees), the ice started to build up into a thick column all the way down the centre back of the fridge and it is a major pain to defrost as it has no lip or channel to direct the water out.


General Comments

I would say that AEG is one of the better kitchen appliance brands and I have been generally pleased with this Santo 3688 KA6 fridge. But the unit does not defrost automatically and, even if it did, it is just plain crazy not to include any consumer advice on defrosting in the manual.
