Good Points

-Excellent build quality and luxury interiors.
-Understated beauty just like the XJS or XK many critics at the time but after a few years recognition of their virtues.
- Light weight and performance.
- Good value for money compared to an XK or Audi RS or Porsche.

Bad Points

Run flats maybe - maybe not depending definition of ride quality
- Idrive maybe, but maybe not, once you get used it its intuitive and clever and saves a whole load of swithces on the dash.
- No oil temperature or pressure gauge or water temperature gauge.

General Comments

For its money, performance, thrill and joy of driving its a wonderful GT or sports coupe, plus huge global parts and service dealerships, regardless of what that guy Clarkson says (unless its a GT40 or Aston all cars are rubbished by Clarkson). If you buy a Porche or Ferrari or Aston or Morgan or Lotus or such like, where can you get it serviced at home or abroad and quickly obtain parts - service and repairs. You can't because despite the huge cost of purchase there are very few dealers about and those that there are are 3-5 x the price of a BMW dealer.
