This is what the punks were listening to while waiting for the punk bands to go on back in 1976 and 1977. No punk rock here, just some of the best reggae and dub of the times.
Don Letts compiled the best of the best reggae and dub from the time. You can hear many of the songs that the Clash talked about in early interviews. 1976 and early 1977 was the peak of UK punk. It was also a peak for reggae.
