Good Points

Liked idea of not being linked directly to bank account for security reasons. Also the ability to top it up either by phone or at a post office. Also can be used widely as it is VISA.


Bad Points

To my disgust, the transactions were not speedily carried out, which meant that I thought I had more money in my account than was true. Six weeks after I returned from holiday, I got a bill for over 500 euros - this was after I had withdrawn my remaining balance. It seems that the transactions can take up to 6 months to clear, so you never can be sure that your balance is correct. My frequent attempts to find out my balance by phoning whilst on holiday were pointless, because the figures I got on the automated system were hopelessly inaccurate.


General Comments

I never want anything to do with this card again, unless the above problems can be resolved.
