Bad Points

Opening hours of drop off points. Mystery charges appearing on card weeks later.

General Comments

This company has been the worst I have ever dealt with. Originally they were nice to deal with when we were hiring the car, had one available immediately whereas Avis next door told us it would be several hours. Decided to go with them as they gave a very good deal including full insurance for damage. Big mistake!

Discovered on our last day when we went to the office in Trapani to drop off the car before flying home that it doesn't open Sundays, has no where to park the car and nowhere to leave the keys. After 3 hours of costly calls on our Irish mobile during which we were told by the Palermo office (the only one that seems to be open on Sundays) that it was our problem not theirs they finally told us to drop the car back to their office there, never mind the fact that it is over 100km the wrong way, and cost us a further 160Euro to get a taxi back!
On top of which they then had the cheek to tell us we'd broken the contract by not dropping the car back to Trapani by 10am as it stated on the contract. It was a bit Monty Pythonish as we patiently explained again and again that the office wasn't open so how could we drop it back!
The one mistake we made was we didn't go out with them when they inspected the car in Palermo, this was because we were very much in danger of missing our flight at this stage due to their misadvertising of available drop offs, run arounds when asked about alternatives etc. There was however no damage done to the car, we had checked it that morning and I know we didn't bump anything on the way to Palermo.
Additionally we had filled the tank at the nearest petrol station before dropping it off.
Surprise surprise I now find two weeks later I am been charged another mystery 78 euro, not a massive amount I know but after what this company put us through on our last day of what should have been a relaxing holiday it was the final straw!
I've cancelled my credit card, barred all payments and my credit card company are now investigating the charge. If I had the cash I would take them to court!
