Sold a '99 Blackbird and bought a new 56 1400. Took it abroad with the missus and all the luggage (Germany/Austria/Italy/France). What a pain. To overtake from 70mph in top I had to drop a gear or two to get anything out of it. No guts at all below 5000rpm. Handling much more focussed than the 'Bird but overall a poor second to the Honda. Two weeks after returning I put it in for another Blackbird, a better allround bike by far.
