★★★★☆

“Most important comment must be the exceptional help...”

Written on: 09/10/2008

Good Points
Have had Teknys Gold for 2 years. Bought it s/h in excellent condition. It looks good, it handles very well indeed and it gives me confidence to tackle clays.

Bad Points
Has been reluctant to cycle reliably -details below.
Receiver bubbled and had to be replaced.

General Comments
Most important comment must be the exceptional help and service I have had from GMK {Beretta Importer]. No charge was made even though gun was not under any official warranty. The cycling problem was a nuisance but thorough cleaning, careful oiling and over 4000 cartridges have improved matters. The gun is very cartridge-sensitive and trial and error pays off. I have kept a record of which brands work best. Surprisingly some 21 gm. loads proved to be very reliable- with virtually no recoil. The 'corrosion' on the receiver was possibly caused by acid in sweat. I think the later 'Stonecoat' model has a more durable finish. Finally, fitting the SCS piston is a good idea as it keeps the cylinder almost free of deposits. The Teknys has not been trouble-free but it is a delight to use.
