Guest's Review of R.C. Sherriff, Journey's End (Penguin Modern Classics)
8th Oct 2008
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- FormatHardback
It describes how the men must have felt, and such deep boredom.
Bad Points
It's so monotonous and samey. Each act and scene seems to just repeat the views and problems of the next. It gives a fair view of the war, but a better book is Birdsong, or Regeneration.
General Comments
In my opinion, it was average. It was ruined a lot by it being used for an A-level text, as you cannot "just" read the book, you have to tear it to shreds.
