Mixed results in the curling.
My curls did not hold.
Had a tendency to singe my hair.


General Comments

I bought the Babyliss You Curl with high hopes but was so disappointed I took it back to Boots for a refund (top tip - electrical items that they sell are returnable if you are not satisfied with them). For information - my hair is long, fine and naturally dead straight. Despite watching the instruction video I found that the curler produced mixed results in creating a curl, sometimes needing two or three passes over the same section of hair to curl it. Once the curls were in they lasted less than an hour before dropping out completely, making the whole thing a waste of time. I also found that despite using a heat-protective styling product the You Curl seemed to singe and break my hair if I used it above the lowest setting or took too long in passing it along my hair. After returning the You Curl I bought a cheap and cheerful ceramic spiral curling tong from Marks and Spencer for about £8 and it works like a charm, producing reliable curls that hold all night.

I would not recommend this product, but if you do decide to give it a try based on some of the positive reviews here then please do buy it from somewhere that will give you a refund if you aren't satisfied - £40 is too much money to waste!
