Bad design making products dangerous/ unreliable.

We moved house 6 years ago and inherited an immaculate and brand new looking fitted kitchen with all fitted De Dietrich appliances. Before long we found the product/ design faults and will not recommend anybody to choose this brand. The cooker hood regularly falls off onto the hob. Refitting it is such a performance as the 4 metal clips are too shallow. The vibration (when using the cooker hood) will loosen the grip and it would fall without any warning. The controls/knobs of the double oven (4 in total) - 3 of which have broken off over time. This is the first time in my 30 year married life that I have seen the dials of any oven falling off. They cannot be reattached and I have to use skewers to rotate the control - I can only guess at the functions/temperatures. When the latest control (for turning on the fan oven and other functions) of the main oven came off a few months ago, it is a nightmare to try to turn the oven on - you need 2 skewer at 2 particular points and push down when you rotate - so my husband tells me but so far I cannot manage it. He said however that this is surely going to break soon. I can see from the internet that this is quite an expensive brand but I just wish the people we purchased the house from had chosen something more reliable.
