Now a little old fashioned in style after 10 years


General Comments

Have had Scanpan cookware for at least 10 years and the saucepans have taken a real beating. Someone left whole peaches boilng on the stove overnight reducing them to a charcoal coating and sticky lumps the next morning. The saucepan was destined to the scrapheap. No matter how much chipping and scrubbing it was stuck solid. We then soaked the inside with washing detergent for a couple of days, boiled it up on the stove. Presto it all peeled off. We scrubbed clean and is good as new except a couple of reminder stains on the bottom. we lov ethe frypans. We were told never to use sprayon oils directly on the pan as it will burn on and make food stick. I do prefer to cook steaks on the BBQ but fried eggs are fine and bacon etc. My experience has been that while low heat is ok it takes a few minutes to heat the pan all over and then it will retain plenty of heat to transfer to the food.
