General Comments

Me and my partner have just returned from 1 weeks holiday at Hauza hotel- Sharm el sheikh. We had read bad reviews but ignore them as it is an excellent hotel. We had a fantastic time as the hotel and surroundings are beautiful. There is so much to do there including- mini zoo, nightly entertainment, water slides, ping pong, tennis, volleyball and much more. The pools are very clean and warm. There are plenty of sunbeds and although we got up at around 9.00am in a morning there were still plenty of spare sunbeds. The rooms are spacious, with two double beds, a bathroom with a bath and shower, a balcony/patio area, dressing table & mini fridge. You received clean towels everyday as well as a bottle of water and fruit juice in your room. There is a 24hr pool bar where a variety of drinks are served. There is nightly entertainment from 9.30 until 10.30 which followed the childrens mini disco from 8.30-9.30. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downfall is that the food is not very good. It lacks in variety and taste and me and my partner seemed to live off bread, rice and pasta all week. Ice creams were not included and neither were cocktails. There was a pizzeria near the pool bar however this was extra and not included. There were however snacks served on the private beach which included hot dogs, pizza etc. Also You will have to try the al carte restaurants on site very nice, these included indian and seafood restaurants which were free once a week.
I warn you on arrival at Sharm airport DO NOT be persuaded into buying a visa, these are £10 per person however are only needed if your have intentions of leaving Sharm. We bought the visas as we were told we needed them for excursions (quad biking, boat trips etc) however they are not needed. The hotel is not situated close to the town. It took around 15 minutes to Narma bay which is the busy area of sharm. To go it cost 5 euro's return per person on a bus to Narma bay. The weather was excellent hottest day was 39c, there is also a beautiful breeze which makes the heat bearable. The tourists consisted of very few english, lots of russians and germans.
Overall a beautiful hotel, a excellent stay, only let down the food.
